Abstract
This chapter analyzes the critical role of digital platforms for artisan female migrant entrepreneurs (FMEs). The chapter highlights the possibilities offered by digital platforms for FMEs to start and continue their business ventures as well as create social value. The study is empirically based in the under-researched settings of Northern Finland, where data were collected in two phases with eight FMEs. The findings reveal how artisan FMEs are coping with language barriers and cultural distance challenges in a way that allows them to generate and secure their livelihood. Specifically, the findings indicate how using digital platforms enables them to leverage social networks, promote their products and services, as well as to establish resilient networks in their host country.
