Abstract

The work presented in this paper aims at investigating the possibility of using dry leaves of date palm fronds and suitable binders to obtain thermal insulating products for buildings The paper presents the various steps attempted to arrive at some heat insulating materials. And, it illustrates how those materials were tested to measure their thermal conductivities. It can be generally concluded that DPF dry leaves can be used with suitable binders to obtain heat insulating materials. Other findings and conclusions are included in the paper.
