Abstract

Meta-materials-based absorbers (MMA) have attracted significant attention due to their impressive absorption properties, making them well-suited for terahertz (THz) band sensing and high-speed communication applications. This paper introduces a novel multiband absorber tailored for the THz band, specifically emphasizing enhancing its quality factor (Q-factor) for biomedical sensing applications. The antenna exhibits improved absorption characteristics when operating on a polyamide substrate with gold for both the ground and patch materials. Simulation results highlight a notable enhancement in the Q-factor of 130. These findings signify a technical advancement and hold promise for propelling THz applications forward, particularly in the domain of biomedical sensing.
