Abstract
A Metamaterial quad-band bandpass (BPF) filter is proposed based on the Meander line (ML) structure with a rectangular stub. This ML effectively reduces the size and along with rectangular stub, it acts as a virtual ground. The proposed filter is designed to have the first passband at 2.3-2.5 GHz, second at 6-8 GHz, third at 8-8.4 GHz and the fourth pass band at 8.7-10.7 GHz. The simulated IL (Insertion Loss) within these pass bands are 0.6dB, 0.3dB, 0.8dB and 0.3dB.The filter reflection coefficients are -26dB, -40dB, -23dB, and -19 dB at center frequencies of the proposed pass bands, respectively. Therefore, this filter covers three bands such as S band, C band X band applications.
