Abstract

This work presents the design and simulation of holographic reflectarrays made up of circular patches for wireless power transfer (WPT) in the Fresnel region. We simulate efficient focusing at 5.8 GHz for a 1.216m square reflectarray design at a focal distance of 10m. The example design is particularly well-suited to microwave power transfer in space, where the ratio of aperture-to-mass must be maximized.
