Abstract

8-(4-((5-(4-Fluorophenyl)pyridin-3-yl)methyl)piperazin-1-yl)-3,4-dihydroquinolin-2(1H)-one hydrochloride (I) and 8-(4-([1,1′-biphenyl]-4-ylmethyl)piperazin-1-yl)-2-methoxyquinoline (II) were prepared in the crystalline state and studied by X-ray diffraction. The crystal packing drawing of compound (I) indicated extensive hydrogen bonding whereas in case of compound (II) showing C-H⋯O short contact resulting in the formation of one-dimensional network.
