Abstract

In the “Decomposition of the MSE” section, there was an error in the slope bias equation. The correct equation appears below. Here the component of MSE due to mean bias is merely the squared mean difference between observed and predicted values [Formula presented] whereas the component due to slope bias = [Formula presented] denoting the variance of ŷS. The authors regret the error.
