Abstract
This paper presents a simple correlation to estimate the hourly ratio of diffuse to total radiation received by a horizontal surface using insolation measurements made at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Comparison of this correlation with existing models for hourly diffuse radiation fraction shows good agreement.
