Abstract
Recent research has demonstrated that almost complete conversion of coal to liquid products is achieved with the use of nitrogen containing solvents or fractions derived from coal liquid under relatively mild conditions. These solvents are setting up a hydrogen bond with coal molecules or donating an electron pair to form a coordinate bond which results in high solubility together with hydrogen transfer during the coal liquefaction process.
