Abstract
Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) is among the most significant forms of renewable energy generation because it converts solar heat into pollution-free electricity. Bangladesh has a significant potential to generate power from the sun's radiation due to its geographical advantage. This research proposes a 12 MW Central Receiver CSP plant for Rajshahi city, taking into account environmental issues and economic potential with 'System Advisor Model (SAM)' software. According to our performance analysis results, the enhanced power plant would be able to deliver 37 GWh of electricity to the national grid each year while operating at a capacity factor of 39.1%. This paper's ultimate aim is to improve the study of CSP plants in Bangladesh for pollution-free generation and to reduce the country's relying solely on natural resources for power generation. This research also supports the green initiatives of the country to generate power.
