Abstract
The poles of the S-matrix, which represent both resonances and bound states, are being investigated numerically using the J-matrix approach in an infinite L2 basis set. These poles are found to be stable against variations in all computational parameters. To test the accuracy and validity of this approach we have implemented our scheme to find the resonance and bound state energies for a well known test potential and compared our results favorably with those obtained previously in the literature.
