Abstract
Isolated DC-DC converters play a critical role by providing isolation and enabling efficient power conversion between different voltage levels. These converters also provide bidirectional power flow and therefore have good potential for application in EV charging system. In this paper, full bridge dual active bridge (FBDAB), half bridge DAB (HBDAB), full bridge CLLC (FBCLLC) and half bridge CLLC (HBCLLC) converters has been analysed using single phase shift (SPS) control technique for their suitability in EV chargers. For the analysis, a digital simulation model of these converters has been developed under MATLAB/Simulink environment and their comparison has been done. The comparison results show that HBCLLC is most efficient converter with lesser THD in inductor current is achieved. Hence, it will be effective converter for EV application.
