Abstract

The pipeline surfaces transportation exposures to several impurities and sources of corrosion and degradation are totally unavoidable. The plant extracts appear as promising alternatives for commercially synthesized inhibitor, new tendencies are actually focus to extract the natural plants for their environmentally eco-friendly, non-toxic, relatively less expensive and they are easily biodegradable. Ranges of plant including the extracts of different parts are analyzed by large methods and techniques, in different fields and domains such as pharmaceutical, medicine...etc. Only few researches are focus on the effect of the green inhibitor on the mechanical's proprieties of materials. This article take account an unexploited local plant in the Algerian desert and other countries, namely kranka or ''Calotropis procera"for the scientific name. The adsorption inhibition mechanisms and the efficiencies with interaction of steels in aggressive acid environments are much disputed. A future recommendation in this fields are formulated and associated with the global challenges of the green energy and engineering applications.
