Abstract

Per-energy capacity ratio is an energy efficiency (EE) metric that compares performances of different communication systems. In this paper, the per-energy capacity ratio is investigated in macro-femto environment operating in the presence of channel fading. The degradation in the per energy capacity ratio due to fading is evaluated. The power control is used to compensate the degradation in the Per-energy Capacity due to fading wireless systems operating in macro-femto environment. The impact of inaccuracy of power control on per capacity ratio is also investigated.
