Abstract
A range of metal powders have been compacted using presses operating at slow and high speeds. These have been compared with respect to pressing characteristics and properties in the green and sintered states. In addition, a study of the technique of producing powder compacts using two or more successive equal blows has been carried out. The results when using this technique are compared with those at slow and high speeds.
