Abstract

In [1], an algorithm is given for the design of digital controllers. The controller parameters were obtained by minimizing an objective function in terms of the controller parameters and a non-linear optimization technique was employed. Here we point out that the proposed objective function is linear in the controller parameters and the minimization problem is a standard linear least squares problem.
