Abstract

We propose a method of cloaking for arbitrary shape objects exploiting an anisotropic adjoint variable method (AVM). We optimize the constitutive parameters of the cloak to minimize a wideband cloaking objective function. The sensitivities of the objective function with respect to the tensor elements of the constitutive parameters are required per iteration. Our wideband anisotropic AVM simulator efficiently supplies the associated sensitivities by applying only one extra simulation.
