Abstract

Nanomaterials have interestingly attracted significant attention from the materials science community due to their unique properties. This chapter discusses the methods of characterization of adsorbents and nanoadsorbents and also the main characteristics of materials as adsorbents. This chapter focuses on the characterization of materials and nanomaterials; the structural, surface characterization, elemental analysis, crystallinity characterization, morphology, pore structure characterization, surface charge, biological evaluation, and general highlights on the tools used to evaluate their performance.
