Abstract
The catalyst development in ultra-deep desulfurization of diesel and gasoline, hydrocracking, fluid catalytic cracking and isomerization in petroleum refining and petrochemicals is described. The Japan Energy corporation reports on development of catalyst system for production of ultra-low sulfur diesel oil and its application to commercial units. The performance of two hydrocracking catalysts systems was evaluated in pilot plant under commercial operating conditions for DMO-VGO blend. The fluid catalyst cracking (FCC) naphtha contributes about 90% to gasoline pool sulfur and light cycle oil (LCO) in high sulfur.
