Abstract

More than 110 scientists, engineers, catalyst experts and researchers from Saudi Arabia, Japan, Kuwait, the US, and the Netherlands participated in the two-day symposium on refining and petrochemical catalysis held on November 27-28, 2005. The annual symposium is jointly organized by the Center for Refining & Petrochemicals of KFUPM and the Japan Petroleum Institute to discuss latest catalyst developments and advances in catalysis related to refining and chemical processing. The following is a brief report on the topics covered during the symposium.
