Abstract

The explosive increase in mobile services around the world has reflected the great demand for mobile communications. Users seek for ubiquitous connectivity to execute their tasks. For obtaining this, they traverse a number of networks and perform handovers. Future generation networks intend to simplify this task by making it more seamless to users. However accommodating all the users all the time is not possible for any network due to limited number of resources. There must be certain mechanism the control the intrusion of excessive users. In this paper, we introduce a Call Admission Control (CAC) based horizontal handover decision in Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks using their femtocells. We intend to assign proper networks to users according to their service demands. Finally, we validate our proposed algorithm using simulations.
