Abstract
The asymmetric shot noise occurring in nonequilibrium quantum systems and the frequency dependent noise of a current through a quantum dot was analyzed. It was found that the asymmetric shot noise, as a function of detection frequency, shows steps and became super-Poissonian that provided experimental access to quantum fluctuations of the current. An exact calculation of the noise was performed for a single dot level and a perturbative evaluation of the noise in Born approximation was also taken into account. The asymmetric noise of a quantum dot in the sequential tunneling regime was obtained including charging effects and allowing for an arbitrary level spectrum.
