Abstract
The evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) has profoundly reshaped the entrepreneurial landscape, enabling startups and new ventures to compete globally and disrupt traditional business practices. This study explores the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship, providing a bibliometric analysis of the scientific evolution, publication trends, academic productivity, author collaborations, and thematic clusters within this emerging interdisciplinary domain. Utilizing VOSviewer and Gephi software, the analysis examines 733 publications retrieved from the Scopus database, spanning 1973 to 2023, and conducts detailed performance analysis, science mapping, and network analysis. Our findings show a significant surge in the number of publications in the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship over the past decade, with an annual growth rate surpassing 32%, which highlight the increasing relevance and importance of this evolving area of research. Key authors, institutions, and countries with the highest productivity and impact were identified, alongside the most influential publications and prominent journals in this area of study. Our network analysis revealed six primary research clusters: AI applications in automation and business digitization, decision systems in entrepreneurship, AI's role in opportunity and business model creation, big data and analytics, social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education, and sustainability and sectoral applications. Despite increasing attention, research on the intersection of AI and entrepreneurship remains limited, offering ample opportunities for future research.
