Abstract
An algorithm is presented for obtaining approximations for the Fermi-Dirac integrals Fj(x) for any real value of j and x. The parameters of these approximations, which use a common Fourier-series for all Fj(x), can be easily obtained using simple calculations. The accuracy of the resulting approximations is arbitrary and the approximations can be easily integrated and differentiated for further mathematical processing.
