Abstract

One of the wireless communication technologies currently being developed is visible light communication (VLC) systems. This systems utilizes visible light as transmitter and a photodiode as a detector of the receiver. This research apply LED light to transmit the data voice while as detector, a photovoltaic cells is functioned as the receiver's detector. As the result of this study, voice communication using this VLC system can be carried out within a maximum data transmission distance up to 20 cm with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 KHz.
