Abstract

The chapter discusses a new corrosion monitoring technique, the modified version of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) called the dynamic EIS (DEIS). It is adjudged, at present as best suited technique for corrosion monitoring and corrosion inhibition measurements because of its ability to track corrosion processes in a changing environment. A brief theoretical background of the DEIS, the advantages of DEIS in comparison to other electrochemical techniques, as well as the limitations of the DEIS have also been highlighted in the chapter.
