Analytical Output of Smart Piezoelectric Cantilever Beam

Abstract

The smart piezoelectric cantilever beam (PSCB) is often used to make the self-powered vibration sensor. The structure of PSCB is studied. The equation of the output voltage of the PSCB under the vibration condition is established and the output voltage of the PSCB is analyzed. It has been found that the output voltage of the PSCB has a positive proportional relationship with its right end displacement. The output voltage is related with piezoelectric fiber material, electrode layer and their thickness, width and length.
