Abstract
A theoretical analysis is presented for turbulent heat transfer for annular flow. The mathematical model developed is based on the principle of surface renewal. This new approach leads to very concise and convenient formulations for Nusselt number at both inner and outer walls. The results are found to agree reasonably well with the available experimental data and the theoretical predictions based on an eddy diffusivity model.
