Abstract
The application to signal processing of a monolithic programmable transversal filter (PTF), using a charge-coupled device (CCD) as the basic delay element, is considered. In particular the relevance of the highly flexible programmable nature of the device in conjunction with its high speed of operation makes it generally applicable to a number of key applications. The applications described to illustrate these attributes are matched filtering, a prime transform implementation and adaptive filtering.
