Abstract
The concept of an independent test plan processor is outlined that simulates the environments of embedded systems with special emphasis on the exact modelling of the time conditions. Its areas of application are software verification, safety apprval, and performance measurement. The device is a freely programmable microcomputer equipped with some special hardware features that will be described. Finally, its software functions are discussed.
