An energy reading and bill generation database for use in non-intrusive load management

The Digital Telewattmeter System software package (DTS-Base) was written to provide both consumer-side load management and remote transmission of energy usage data for the utility. DTS-Base provides utilities with a database that stores customer information, reads customer telewattmeters (field units), and generates customer bills. The user friendly software package will call specific field units via the computer's modem and download energy usage information. Customer bills, generated using the downloaded information from each field unit, contain all the necessary information to allow for consumer-side, non-intrusive load management.
