Abstract

At the outset of this book project, we posed some critical research questions about the adoption of LMS technology: Which constructs of the UTAUT2 model play a significant role in the adoption of LMS technology? Which factors play the role of moderators in this model? This chapter provides answers to these questions by a thorough analysis of both direct and indirect factors responsible for the adoption of LMS in the higher educational institutes in the context of the Middle East. The UTAUT2 model with the inclusion of ‘technology awareness’ and Hofstede’s cultural dimensions as the moderating variables is also tested and reported here in this chapter.
