Abstract

This paper presents a surface renewal based formulation for convective heat transfer for hydrodynamically and thermally fully developed turbulent flow in a tube. Based on the modeling concept presented, turbulent pulsatile flow is categorized according to the hydrodynamically unsteady mean residence time.
