Accurate finite difference scheme for the wave instability problem

Abstract

An accurate finite difference scheme for the wave instability problem with the effect of transverse velocity component was developed based on a modification of Thomas transformation. A direct method is employed to compute the eigenvalues. Numerical results are presented.
