Abstract
Magnetization measurements have been performed on Mg1−xAlxB2 superconductors (x = 0.025) in the temperature range 4–35 K and in a magnetic field up to 9T using VSM. At low fields (< 2 T), large vortex instabilities (vortex avalanches) are observed in the doped samples. As the temperature increases, the positions of avalanches are shifted to lower fields. An external AC field has been applied to shake the vortices. Upon shaking, the positions of avalanches have been observed to shift to higher fields.
