Abstract

A frequency response of absorption-reflection-absorption is introduced a new structure named as "absorptive frequency-selective reflector (AFSR)". This physical structure is capable of realizing two functions: one achieving a wideband absorption band with low reflection and the other controlling the reflection band within the absorption band through resonance. Given its unique frequency response, such AFSR may find various applications in antenna engineering.
