Abstract
The concentrations of Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Pb and Cd were determined in some moss samples collected from polluted and unpolluted areas in Giresun, Turkey. The moss samples were analyzed using flame (FAAS) and graphite furnace (GFAAS) atomic absorption spectrometry after microwave digestion. The minimum and maximum metal concentrations in the samples were found to be 721-1220, 2-18, 285-435, 33-109, 5-28, 0.3-1.0 μg/g for iron, copper, manganese, zinc, lead and cadmium, respectively.
