Abstract

The faster the growth of the electric vehicles (EVs), the higher the demand for electricity from the grid. To reduce the power quality problems associated with the electrical network, the EVCS is able to found a bi-direction interface with the energy storage system (ESS). This proposed work presents a DC-DC bi-direction converter for batteries in renewable energy source (RES) based EV charging. Thus, the proposed DC-DC converter has significant characteristics, like reduced voltage stress and inductor current ripple that is twice the switching frequency. It comprises of two alike Zero Voltage Transition (ZVT) cells, comprising two resonant inductors, an auxiliary switch, and a capacitor, combined with an ordinary 3L topology that maintains boost and buck approaches. The simulation of the DC-DC converter has been performed, and the results are presented. A converter simulation for the proposed EVCS has been developed.
