Abstract
A study was conducted to demonstrate a new high-output-impedance and transadmittance type operational transconductance (OTA)-based universal filter circuit. The study used five operational transconductance amplifiers and two capacitors to create the circuit that can realize lowpass, highpass, bandpass, allpass, notch, highpass notch, and lowpass notch responses. The circuit also uses three plus-type second-generation current-conveyors, two capacitors, and three resistors to realize highpass and bandpass transfer functions. The proposed circuit requires multiple-output multiple-input OTAs and additional active elements. The study showed that the transadmittance type filter circuit with input voltage and output current can realize lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, lowpass-notch, and highpass-notch transfer functions using OTAs.
