Abstract
The objective of this paper is to provide a new formula for estimating robust time delays for closed-loop stability. Here, we consider continuous SISO linear time-invariant systems represented by their rational transfer functions which are not necessarily stable. The proposed formula is derived based on the symmetric Rouche form [1], [2] which has been recently adapted by the author as a robustness tool [3], [4]. The new formula is less conservative compared to a previous formula developed by the author using the small gain theorem [5].
