Abstract

Partial shading occurs because of nearby buildings, trees etc. due to which some modules receive lower irradiance than others which causes the power output of solar panels to reduce drastically which is undesirable and several losses occurs, so to overcome such difficulty in this paper a modified shade dispersion technique is being discussed which disperse the shade in such a way that enhances the power. A 5 times 4 array is considered to compare modified shade dispersed technique performance with the traditional configurations i.e., Total-cross-tied (TCT) and Series parallel (SP). The performance analysis of solar array is done in terms of mismatch losses, shading losses, fill factor. 4 different shading cases are been considered in this paper which is Vertical shading, horizontal shading, Centre shading and L shaped shading. Further, the conclusion is drawn that the newly modified proposed technique is much better than the other conventional configurations.
