Abstract
This paper presents a model-reference adaptive phase process controller which avoids the problems usually faced with traditional phase lead/lag compensator design. The adaptive property of this controller makes it insensitive to system parameter variations and modeling errors. Furthermore, the design can be, under certain conditions, extended to handle nonminimum-phase processes.
