Abstract

A new lignan has been isolated from the whole plant extract of Daphne oleoides besides the known taxiresinol and lariciresinol. The structure of the new lignan was established as 4,9'-dihydroxy-3',4',5-trimethoxy-7',9- epoxylignan by spectroscopic methods.
