Abstract
In this paper, a dual band 5G directional wearable antenna operating at 3.5 GHz and 4.7 GHz covering mid-band / Sub-6 GHz (5G) bands such as n77, n78 and n79 is presented. The antenna structure consists of trapezoidal shape patch as radiating element, Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber as wearable substrate, and full ground plane on the bottom. The antenna designed with the size of 24× 35.50×4.04 mm3, achieving a bandwidth of 635 MHz from 3.260 to 3.895 GHz and a bandwidth of 102 MHz from 4.648 to 4.750 GHz. The antenna shows 5.26 dBi of gain at 3.5 GHz and 3.9 dBi at 4.7GHz with clear directional radiation pattern.
