Abstract

Many researchers have recently considered the targeting of a process mean under various conditions. They have developed several models for solving this problem. None of these models provides a closed form solution, so iterative methods must be used to obtain solutions. We provide a FORTRAN based computer package for solving nine selected targeting models. We also include schemes for finding an initial starting solution for each model which will help the user to obtain optimal solutions quickly. The package is interactive, user-friendly, and requires minimal effort from users.
