Theory of Location of matrix eigenvalues and its Applications

In this project the principal investigator will try to improve, apply and extend some results already obtained in his previous work about bounds and location of eigenvalues of some important type of matrices such as stochastic doubly stochastic, Laplacian, symmetric and other type of matrices. In particular we will try to investigate further the new concept of "Gershgorin disc of the second type" that we have introduced in our paper titled " On the location of eigenvalues or real matrices". Possible theoretical consequences of the obtained bounds and localization regions are also subject of research in this project.
