Description
In this project we propose to explore analytically and numerically one of the most promising effects (soliton), for future applications in optical communication processing and memory devices, due to the inherent nonlinearity in low dimensional semiconductor systems. We focus on two particular quantum systems namely quantum wells inside microcavities and microcavity wires.
