On the long-time behavior of some logarithmic plate equations with viscoelastic and strong frictional damping

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

In this project we study the stabilization of some plate systems with logarithmic nonlinearity by viscoelastic and strong frictional dampings acting in the domain. To the best of our knowledge, there is no result for the long-time behavior of solutions for this type of problems. Our aim is to establish general decay rate results for a wide class of damping mechanisms. The results of this work, if obtained, will open the door for more research in this direction.
