Description
In this project, we study the stabilization of nonlinear coupled systems of viscoelastic wave equations with finite or infinite history. These systems have been widely studied in the literature under restrictive assumptions on the relaxation functions associated with the viscoelastic damping. Our aim is to investigate the stability of the systems and establish explicit and general decay rate results by strongly weakening the usual assumptions on the relaxation functions. The results of this work will allow a wider class of relaxation functions, extend, and improve several earlier results existing in the literature.
