Development of an Electrochemical Method for the Analytical Determination of Ketoconazole Drug in Saudi Market

A simple, rapid and reliable electrochemical method for the determination of ketoconazole (KTZ) in pure and drug formulation forms will be developed. The developed method will be used for the electrochemical investigation of the interaction between KTZ and nucleic acids as well as with metals. Home development of such methods will have a great impact on our community and national security. It will also help on monitoring the quality of the commercial available drugs in Saudi market, and thus will have a great impact on human health. The project duration is one and half year at a total cost of SR 100,000.
